In good times and seasons of prosperity, it’s commonsensical to say that prudence is a much-required trait so that when less prosperous seasons come, you have saved up resources enough to survive. Consider the reverse; when unpleasant seasons seem to have no end and the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel is simply not in sight, which trait is then the most superior to have?
